Description:
A presentation based on the evidence and on 20 years of experience with hospice and palliative medicine helps to integrate all of the interpersonal and clinical knowledge available to help deal with this task, all too common in all medical specialties.
Objectives:
- Participants will identify why breaking difficult news is important, and how doing this critical task well can improve care outcomes and patient-physician relationship
- Participants will identify how to communicate difficult information competently using a simple stepped protocol.
