Description:
A physician with more than 20 years of experience in hospice and palliative medicine presents his approach to the most difficult issues this specialty encounters.
Objectives:
- Participant will summarize the principles involved in making decisions about withdrawing or withholding treatment
- Participant will apply these principles to the withholding/withdrawal of artificial feeding and hydration
- Participant will apply these principles to the withholding/withdrawal of ventilation and attempts at cardiopulmonary resuscitation
