Client-Centered
Care Plans with Minimal Paperwork (1097)

Description:
There has been increasing amounts of paperwork in health care
with less and less available time for client interaction,
which means less and less income (no reimbursement for
paperwork): a client's care suffers and our bottom lines
suffer. This program shows how to reverse that trend, showing
how we can have care plans with minimal paperwork and maximum
client-centeredness, as we simultaneously produce many
measurable outcomes and address the needs and concerns of
Medicare and JCAHO, giving us more client contact and
therefore more billable hours.
Objectives:
-
Describe care plans for the terminally ill that use little
paperwork and produce many measurable outcomes.
-
Describe care plans for the grieving that use little
paperwork and produce many measurable outcomes.
-
Explain how an activity called "fantasy dates" can address a
client's/patient's needs, concerns, expectations, and
priorities.
