Description:
This course is part of HEN's "What You Need To Know and What
You Need To Do" series of information that should be presented
to hospice staff and volunteers annually.
Standard fire hazards, safety prevention, and responses are
targeted for hospice and palliative professionals, in both
workplace and patient care environments. Hospice specific
hazards are discussed, such as risks for the elderly, smoking
as a quality of life issue, oxygen therapies,
interdisciplinary team prevention, and what a surveyor will
look for.
