This presentation shows caregivers how they
can respectfully respond to patients when patients put them in
what are often described as emotionally awkward situations:
how to accept patients when they are on an emotional
rollercoaster.
Objectives:

Describe constructive ways of responding to patient and
family denial.
- Discuss tools and techniques that
can be used to help patients cry, be angry and laugh.

freedom to express emotions.
