Description:
This program offers an overview of ensuring patient rights and responsibilities in hospice care, especially in expressing responsibilities for the terminally ill patient. The role as a moral player in patient care is discussed and how that affects ensuring that patients' right are met. The presentation provides a look at the goals of care through a patient's lens about their rights and responsibilities.

Objectives:

• Participant will define his or her role as “moral player” In patient’s care
• Participant will describe the evolution of the patient rights movement in health care.
• Participant will recognize patient needs/rights and responsibilities
