Description:
This module provides basic information on the Additional Development
Request ("ADR") process and helps the viewer understand the
role of the Regional Home Health and Hospice Intermediary
("RHHI") in terms of medical review, claim denials, and the
appeal process. This module also touches on the Local Coverage
Determination ("LCD") guidelines published by the RHHIs, and
provides helpful suggestions for responding to ADRs in an
appropriate and timely fashion.
Objectives:
- Participant will Define the phrase Additional Development
Request ("ADR").
- Participant will Prepare a medical record for initial
ADR submission.
- Participant will Identify appropriate documentation to
support patient eligibility.
- Participant will Discuss proactive strategies to improve
visit note and other documentation.
