Description:
This course explains how different cultures affect the needs
and reactions of patients and their families. It encourages
the viewer to take an inventory of their own beliefs so they
are able to step outside those and better assist their clients.
Objectives:
- Objective 1 -
Learner will discuss the cultural needs of families with patients, families and caregivers.
- Objective 2 - Learner will evaluate their own cultural sensitivities in order to support cultural needs of patients.
- Objective 3 - Learner will present a patient's cultural needs
to gain support from other staff members, family and friends.
