Description:
This experiential course is designed to create a greater understanding
of ethical will-making and its uses as an end of life tool
to assist patients and families on their journey. Participants
will learn from a hands-on experience in which they will work
through the beginning processes of creating their own ethical
will. A deeper understanding of the meaning behind such a
tool will offer insight into the validity and value of leaving
a legacy for those who come after us.
Objectives:
- Participant will determine what it means for the social
worker to leave behind a personal legacy
- Participant will create an ethical will
- Participant will interpret the concept of ethical wills
as a tool for assisting patients on their journey.
